2022 – 2024  UI Design, Motion (2D)

Qualifyze was founded in 2019 as a startup that brings together auditors from around the world with the aim of unifying processes and services in the pharmaceutical world.

In 2023, they made the leap from a service company to a platform. Qualifyze becomes a tool that connects clients, suppliers and auditors, assessing supply chain compliance and facilitating the entire process for pharmaceutical companies.

Context

Promote this change seamless for Qualifyze and in a clear and updated way for its users.

Challenge

I was the UI designer for the website, in charge of updating the interface to explain the purpose and features of the platform, as well as the services of Qualifyze as a company. Designing and creating resources, prototypes and animations were my main tasks.

My role

Qualifyze’s identity as a startup had evolved into a platform that orchestrated complex tasks. We raised the level of abstraction and simplified the symbols: users would understand at a glance what these processes were about.

Process

(1/2)

I continued to expand the visual resources: iconography, illustrations, components… All of this was key to achieving an impactful transformation.

Once the proposals were agreed upon in Design, they were passed on to Development to verify their feasibility. No success comes on the first try, which is why we rely on phased iterations. That means documentation, documentation, and… more documentation.

Process (2/2)

(1) The efficacy of abstraction

Complex processes are best understood using metaphors and few visuals. We left behind a library of illustrations and animations that made it easier to understand the company’s shift in purpose.

(2) The less the better

Limiting the use of the color range helped put the focus on the call to action actions, and made Qualifyze more recognizable as a brand by choosing a single representative color of the brand.

Outcomes

✺ Sometimes motion is key to be understood.

✺ Mobile first, always.

✺ Paracetamol doesn’t grow up in people’s pocket.
